Stop that Lion is a children’s picture book by Lois Wickstrom with art by Timna Green. The Kingdom of Sher and the Kingdom of Mir share a border, and this has made them good friends. However, this may soon change, as the Kingdom of Sher has a lion whilst the people of Mir raise sheep. Each night when the lion is hungry, it sneaks into the Kingdom of Mir to have its fill of sheep. This is a problem for both kingdoms, so the King of Sher decides to hold a contest of sorts. The rules are that whoever comes up with a fair solution to save the sheep from the lion will become the King’s Royal advisor, but those that fail will give the King their most prized possession. Join Wynnie and friends as they aim to save the day!

Stop that Lion is a must-read for your young Prince or Princess, as it not only has a solid plot but also boasts beautiful artwork. More importantly, it has some valuable life lessons or rather good morals to impart to young minds. A perfect example of one such moral can be found in the king’s rules, as he demands a fair solution. This means that in life we shouldn’t be selfish, regardless of the circumstances. The artwork is perfect with vivid colors and is very detailed. This book is sure to be a bedtime favorite for your kids, and that’s why I have no problem recommending this book to parents of toddlers or slightly older children. Great book!
