This then is the story of Susannah Dickinson as  told through the eyes of one rag doll  named Patty.

As midnight approach’s the toys in the attic all come alive.  Patty the rag doll begins to tell the story of her friend Susannah and the battle at the Alamo. The  story begins with Susannah’s childhood and her favorite doll named Patty.  She took Patty everywhere with her, to school, on dates, and eventually to the Alamo.

Patty tells about a room in the old mission,  meeting Davy Crocket and Jim Bowie.
Susannah  Dickinson  was one of the few that survived the Alamo. She lost her husband and her daughter. She was one of the  true heroines who helped shaped  our nation. The Frontier Legends series is a set of short stories about the legends of the Alamo that help shape Texas  in to  the state it is today. This is then an excellent book for children.
