Terraless: The Fantasy World by Thorby Rudbek is the first adventure in a unique magical fantasy series. The story delves into an oppressed society of enslaved people that are discovering a new concept beyond their wildest dreams: freedom. As darkness descends over them, a bow-girl named Eshezy rises above the dangers around her and pushes back against what is expected of her to journey with her closest allies to save her people from a fate of death or enslavement. As an assassin hunts her down, getting closer with every step of her journey, and an enemy’s threats become more real, Eshezy will do whatever it takes to protect those she loves and to ensure everyone has a chance at achieving a greater future.
Thorby Rudbek delivers a wonder-filled fantasy adventure that explores the concept of good versus evil through a unique perspective of innocence, learning, and wonder. The characters are endearing and are new to discovering the world around them, which allows for you to discover along with them the rules and reality of the world Rudbek has created. The characters are very innocent which makes everything feel very new to them as things are slowly being taught to them. Through the character of Eshezy, the story introduces what freedom means for the world and for the characters as this opens their eyes to see the oppression they’ve been living under and how they just hadn’t realized that it could be better. The story is woven throughout with scenes of an onlooking god observing the way of the world where he watches the actions of his creations and looks upon them with astonishment and his own sense of wonder. Terraless is ideal for those readers that love fantasy, to explore new magical worlds, and enjoy tales of oppression that deliver a thrilling conclusion.
