The Adventures of Harry Morgan: Volume 1 by Clabe Polk is a collection of three action-packed novellas about Harry Morgan. Harry is a retired businessman, he has everything he could ever wish for and he is ready to spend his life on his own terms. But trouble seems to find him around every corner and there is nothing he can do about it. Be it robbing a bank with a dying friend, solving the mystery behind his friend’s troubles or human trafficking, Harry has to work hard to get out of trouble and make sure people in his life remain safe. Solving problems and staying out of them is not easy, but Harry has a knack for getting out of trouble. Will he be able to solve these issues in time? Can Harry stay out of trouble and enjoy his sailboat like he wants to?
The Adventures of Harry Morgan: Volume 1 by Clabe Polk is a great collection. I fell for Harry (or Captain Loggerhead) when I first read The Pirates of Cayo Pelau. Harry is a smart man; he tries to understand the situation before taking any action and makes the right decisions. He is cunning, shrewd and very clever and each of these qualities comes in handy in all three of the stories. While Harry’s character was the highlight of the stories for me, I also liked Tony. He is a very well-crafted character; he was complicated, descriptive yet very elusive. I enjoyed how each story was perfectly developed and entertaining. This is a really cool collection, one that will take you on a journey and have you enjoy the ride at the same time.
