In The Adventures of Lexus Hill by author Amy Louise Hill, little Casey and her parents went to visit the Rosehill Dog Rescue Centre one sunny day to adopt a cute little dog that Casey could play with. But this was not an easy feat. Casey and her parents fell in love with almost every dog in the kennel. They were so lovely and cuddly, so it was really hard for the family to choose only one to take home and give it the loving, forever home the dog deserved. Will Casey and her parents be able to find the one dog they love, and give it a home? They will first have to get over the excitement and the emotional rollercoaster from the visit to the center and the desire to help all the dogs in the kennel before deciding which is best suited to them.
The Adventures of Lexus Hill: Adoption Day (Book 1) by Amy Louise Hill is a wonderfully heartwarming tale of adopting an adorable dog and making it a permanent member of one’s family. Hill’s storytelling is clear, descriptive, and engaging, and has an educational and informative theme. The way the author approaches and describes the emotions of the characters involved is realistic and full of substance, which makes this tale of Lexus Hill, the dog, and his adventures a perfect read within a family setting.
