The Adventures of Veggieman: Food Fight, written by Karla Farach, is an impressive educational book for children. The book follows a young boy who notices that something isn’t quite right at his school. The children jumped on tables, slept on their desks, and ate all kinds of sugary treats. The boy rushes to get the help of his principal, but that fails when he sees that he is just as bad as the children. The boy almost gives into temptation but is stopped just in time. A helpful chickpea gives him some advice and sends him on an adventure to find Veggieman! Will the boy find Veggieman in time and stop the consumption of junk food? Find out in this highly entertaining book: The Adventures of Veggieman.
Author Karla Farach’s book was an enjoyable read. The book’s primary focus is to promote healthy eating and the power of choice within young children. I loved that the author chose to write about the topic because it’s so important. Yet, it’s sometimes difficult to get children to eat healthy foods. The characters have been cleverly created, and they fit well within the story; Veggieman was my favorite! I honestly can’t praise this book enough. It ticks all the boxes of what a children’s book should be like. Any child will enjoy reading this incredible book and won’t be disappointed with its contents. I highly recommend The Adventures of Veggieman: Food Fight to any parent wishing to get their child to eat healthier foods. I hope this book becomes available in schools because it is the perfect example of what children should be learning. Good luck, Kara Farach. I will be keeping an eye out for your work in the future.
