Author Biography

What do you do after flying in combat, evading capture after exposing corruption, and planning history's first space war? Noel Zamot decided to write a book. Personal experiences in cyberwarfare, space operations and covert programs underpin his debut thriller “The Archer’s Thread.” He’s working on the sequel, “The Feather’s Push,” and doing several things he can’t talk about. He lives in Tampa with his wife. Absolutely nothing in this novel is based on real events. Trust him.

Consider this: how would you like to be able to predict what will happen to you in the next few seconds, or what people will say or reply to a question you haven’t yet asked? Before you think that’s a handy ability to have, enter the world and mind of author Noel Zamot’s protagonist, Simon Lyons. He has been able to anticipate whatever’s coming next for over 10 years and it’s driving him crazy. It’s also turning him into a most dangerous man, capable of inflicting permanent damage on others. Many of his victims deserve his vigilante-style wrath but, after all, what he’s doing to them is criminal assault. Yet, he’s never caught; he’s even protected. Why? Lyons is desperate to be rid of his unusual ability. Others find his gift useful for their own sometimes nefarious reasons. When Dr. Kelly Austin enters Lyons’ life, it’s a pleasant and welcomed jolt to his psyche, the change he’s desperately seeking. But why?

How exciting to discover a writer who, through characters and plot, explores a concept you’ve wondered about. That’s my most memorable takeaway from The Archer’s Thread by Noel Zamot. Like the story’s most “active” other characters, Kelly and her two very clever devotees, Harriet and Paula, readers are mystified and mesmerized by Simon Lyons. The plot moves super fast with lots of dialogue, surprise twists, and unexpected explanations to everyone’s questions. And warming up this suspenseful plot, while complicating things for other characters, is the burgeoning love affair between Kelly and Simon. In short, Noel Zamot offers readers a most enjoyable blend of mystery, action, and romance. This is a long book but time really flies when a story is as intriguing and mentally stimulating as The Archer’s Thread.
