The Conspiracy of Silence by Augustine Sam is a political thriller. The body of a woman is found in a park in LA, a woman who has been brutally murdered. But who is she? When it comes to light who she is, everyone is in shock because she was the last person that anyone expected to end up that way. Her story is gradually exposed, a story of blackmail, secret lovers and a big-name celebrity on trial for her murder. But how can he be charged with murdering a woman who doesn’t exist? What no-one realizes is that this is just the beginning, a cover-up to a world of horror, of skeletons that are about to come tumbling out of the cupboard. Skeletons that are connected to a US Senator assassinated in a hotel sauna in Washington; skeletons that are connected to sex scandals; skeletons that the political world and the FBI will do anything to keep hidden.

The Conspiracy of Silence by Augustine Sam is a stunning novel, a novel that has a real “wow” factor. It has everything anyone could want in a book; plenty of action, loads of twists and turns, and a fabulous plot. There was plenty of background information provided on the characters and the story, which helped me to follow it and understand where it was going. This is one of the most original and unique storylines that I have ever had the pleasure to read, a story that took me on one wild roller coaster journey. Augustine Sam has a real way with words, an incredible talent, and writes in a realistic and vivid way. The characters and the plot came to life before me and this is one journey that I would not have missed for the world. What was really scary about this story was the fact that it could and probably is the kind of thing that is happening right now and we wouldn’t know a thing about it. Fantastic story, I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
