Nina Holt has been held prisoner in an abusive and violent marriage by her politically powerful husband. Debased by her husband and his cop brother to levels unimaginable to decent human beings, she has endured pain and humiliation for over a decade. The only thing that keeps her going is her love for her son, Sam. She realizes it is time to take matters in her own hands and plot her escape when Sam starts showing tendencies of turning into a copy of his father. She is helped by a stranger when she crashes her car while escaping from her husband's clutches. Is Case really who he claims to be? Will he turn out to be her savior or does he have his own agenda for her, like all the other men in her life? Can she learn to love and trust again? Will the Holt brothers allow her to live in peace?

The Devils' Cradle by Darcy Daniel is an amazingly well written thriller. Aptly named, the book holds your attention until you finish reading it. The various twists and turns in the plot make you restless to learn what happens next. This is one of the most exciting books I have read in the recent past. I would highly recommend grabbing a copy to all the adrenaline junkies out there. The characters are well etched and one actually feels all the emotions while reading the book. All in all, a highly satisfying read that will surely give you your money's worth.
