The First 8 Days of Being a Mom by Gea Meijering is a good book, not only for mothers who have just had their babies, but for those who are expecting as it will help them navigate through those first exhausting days. Every woman with a newborn in any part of the world experiences the same challenges, and this book tells readers everything they need to know, shows them how to do it, and checks on them as well as their baby. The book is not only good for those who are going to have a baby, but also for fathers and other family members.
The book is an excellent manual and the author handles the topic in detail and with a lot of clarity, making it easy for readers to understand. The information provided is honest and straightforward, and the book includes pictures and charts for parents to use and also the names of websites they can refer to. The information is very useful and will give tips to expectant moms on how to anticipate the process that lies ahead of them.
The exercises at the end of the chapters are useful for parents to reflect on and also make notes of the experiences they are going through after the baby’s birth. The book will help mothers enjoy the special moments of their life and cheer up now that they have become mothers!
