"The Frozen Dozen" by Alexander Flint is a fun suspenseful collection of twelve short stories. It is January 2000 and the luxury liner Queen Elizabeth II is beginning a millennium cruise around the world. Each story is about a different passenger with details of who they are, what they have done and why they are on the cruise of a lifetime. Each one of these twelve passengers ends up dead before the ship returns to port. Each story is very different, with very different life styles and very different endings of how they die. While some of the deaths will make you think that they had it coming, others will sadden you. All will surprise you.
"The Frozen Dozen" is a very quick and enjoyable read.I found it interesting that each story stood alone and had no connection to another story. Flint has given us twelve fresh and well-written short stories on the same topic but with no similarities among them. "The Frozen Dozen" has strong and unusual characters that will keep you reading to the very last page. Flint has written an attention-grabbing suspense fiction book for young and old, men and women. It is ninety-six pages of pure entertainment. This is the kind of book you want to read to escape from the everyday world. "The Frozen Dozen" would be a great book to read on a plane, at the beach, while waiting in a doctor’s office or just about any time. Alexander Flint has a winner here. I am anxious to read more books by this clever author.
