MJ Moores caught the writing bug at the age of 9 then honed her understanding of character in high school drama and creative writing classes. After teaching for a decade, she focused on raising her son and then became a librarian!
The title and inspiration for The Hollow Kiss came during the early days of raising her son. She visited an author blog enticing readers to create a title for a book using a Title Generator the author built herself. There, The Hollow Kiss was born. Encouraged to give a fun summary of what the book could be about (based on the genre provided in the generator), MJ discovered a "new story" she just had to tell.

The pacing is brisk, the writing cinematic, with sky-high tension. The Hollow Kiss is a darkly thrilling start to a promising series; perfect for fans of The Mortal Instruments.
