In The Lady's Mission, Mary Davis takes readers on another unforgettable adventure. Lamar Kesner's world takes an unexpected turn when the beautiful yet seemingly naive Miss Armstrong walks into his life. Realizing she has secrets, he sets out to discover more. Seeking help from his friends along the way, Lamar and Cordelia Armstrong make quite the impression in this humorous historical romance. His unique hobby and her passion for the less fortunate also lead to some interesting situations. When the town's most eligible bachelor first meets the new lady, the exchange leads Lamar to question his grandmother's latest attempt to marry him off. Yet, curious to understand the mind of this seemingly conflicted Miss Armstrong, he finds that first impressions aren't always reliable. This fun story had me laughing and chuckling along with their silly antics and witty banter.

The Lady's Mission by Mary Davis is a delightful read; I loved meeting the characters. Lamar and Cordelia have such interesting friends, and there was a handful that I would love to see more of in future books as well. Filled with surprising twists and hilarious surprises, I enjoyed seeing the story unfold. I read this in a couple of sittings and can't wait to read more of Mary Davis' stories. The inclusion of the hot air balloon and Cordelia's idea to help Mrs. Henny were surprising and ended up being some of my favorite scenes. The Lady's Mission is full of humorous moments and inspiring truths that left me in love with the story. I'm so glad I found this series.
