The Last Legend: Unto The End is the second volume of a young adult fantasy written by J.B. Wichterich. King Julpen and his men search for the missing princess. But there are worse things in the kingdom than the disappearance of his daughter, Princess Marrisa. The Dark Lord is rising and destroying everything in sight. There is a prophecy of a blood-red moon that will open doors to a new era dominated by dark powers and dark beings. War is looming. And somehow, Princess Marrisa is in the middle of it all. She is in the Dark Tower, awaiting the arrival of the blood-red moon that will usher in a new and powerful reign of terror. At the same time, Natalia, Tairren, and Phillip traverse through Minslethrate’s Forbidden Lands and dangerous wilderness. The Legna are companions of light and become involved in a quest to search for the legendary armor of the King Yehoshua. They must find the armor and end their quest so that they can face the Dark Lord before his powers have the chance to manifest.
The Last Legend is a complex and interesting fantasy story that is sure to appeal to fantasy and young adult readers. There are a number of interesting characters who take on amazing quests to save the kingdom. I thought the adventures in this story were very well-written and Wichterich created a stunning setting. The fantasy land was well described and it was easy to see the characters traversing through it. Readers of this genre will be stunned by Wichterich's talent to richly describe setting. The story's beautiful backdrop makes an excellent stage for Wichterich to set this innovative and unique fantasy story. It was a pleasure to watch the story's events unfold.
