Julia's father was killed in an accident at work. She and her mother still miss him very much and they struggle to continue their lives together without his loving presence. They never thought to question the events of the day, the plant explosion that killed more than just Julia's father. In fact, until Julia is mugged in a dark alley and she meets her Mr. Mysterious, life is pretty normal for a teenager: school, part-time job, great friends.
Then enters Mr. Mysterious and things go from weird to even weirder, if that's really possible. And Julia learns that she is the Lycetta and that she has some pretty cool magical powers. It's her legacy, but she has to learn how to use these powers, how to control them, and, more importantly, how to survive against the evil powers that seek to destroy her. Not that Mr. Mysterious hasn't been doing his job of protecting her, but there comes a time when Julia must stand up for herself, to defend not just herself, but also those that she loves. And to think that it all started with a dream about a Templar Knight!
