Author Biography

Chaplain Kathy Collins, ASC, was born in Milwaukee and raised along the Wisconsin shoreline of Lake Michigan in Port Washington, Wisconsin

Kathy is a graduate of Port Washington High School, and during her full-time working career attended Alverno College Weekend College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her insatiable love for history was fulfilled by taking as many University of Wisconsin Extension courses she could find through the years. Kathy is an avid reader, loves the game of golf, symphony music, traditional Irish music, and enjoys traveling in and out of the country meeting new people.

Her life experiences of working in the business world, being a volunteer hospice caregiver, and surviving her own personal fight with cancer, gave Kathy the tools to fulfill her spiritual journey of transformation to becoming a hospital chaplain. She continues to share the beauty of bringing heaven and earth together without fear and showing us how much we are all one.

Kathy continues her mystical journey through the heart by continuing to write, speak and fulfill her chaplain duties. She now resides in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

Fighting a fast-growing breast cancer and having severe side effects from the chemotherapy presented a seemingly insurmountable challenge to this strong woman. But, a new way of being was presented to her. She was awakened to the unlimited possibilities of the metaphysical, spiritual world. The experiences of messages, visions and synchronicities provided the supportive guidance she needed. Author Kathy Collins shares her memorable spiritual journey in her memoir, The Mystic Chaplain: My Story. This memoir details many amazing events, from her second encounter with a young Emergency Department doctor, to seeing people who had already passed. These occur within the context of an everyday life, gently nudging her to step into a mystical life. She eventually became a hospital chaplain.

This memoir is filled with hope and love, and it would be helpful to anyone seeking a life of wholeness and serenity. By sharing her story, Ms. Collins provides hope and encourages the reader to connect with the One Source. Her writing style is down-to-earth and relatable. She shares the blessings, and difficulties, within her own family and shares the necessity of releasing her own pain associated with an estranged love one. The Mystic Chaplain: My Story by Kathy Collins is engaging and thought provoking. She listened to received guidance and journaled the many incredible experiences she had. Sharing these with the reader is certainly a wondrous gift. Anyone who reads this book will be reminded that spiritual beings are always at our side, guiding us along life’s path – all we have to do is ask, and listen.
