Using the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven by Dr Albert Evans Jr is a Christian teaching book about putting Kingdom principles into everyday life. Evans begins with John the Baptist and the declaration that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, then explains the image of keys as a way for believers to access what God has placed within reach. From that foundation, he introduces seven practices that move Christian teaching into daily conduct, drawing on Scripture to explain how each one operates. Biblical accounts sit alongside Evans’s own ministry experience as he connects belief with conduct at home and in church. As the teaching develops, Evans returns to the idea that these keys belong in a believer’s hands, bringing them together as practical ways to live according to God’s Kingdom.
Dr Albert Evans Jr’s Using the Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven is a fantastic Christian book, and a genuinely useful resource for believers who want biblical teaching they can apply. The writing is direct and easy to use, and I love that Evans brings experience into the teaching. His first fast is a perfect example, and Evans compares it to military basic training before crawling downstairs to fry a hot dog for breakfast. I especially liked the “bathroom anointing” from his military years, when cleaning latrines became the model he later carried into church service. It’s obvious that years of ministry and biblical study have gone into this book, and Evans ties everything he teaches back to it. Well written and full of practical Christian teaching, readers looking to strengthen their Kingdom life will adore this.
