Isadora's sudden acquisition of powers and her proactive approach to confronting the established power structure create a dynamic and engaging narrative. The world-building is rich, with the cursed kingdom of Camellia feeling both haunting and alive. I loved that Isadora was a strong protagonist. She was strong-willed, adventurous, and relatable in how she handled the situation without losing her humanity. I also enjoyed her dynamic with Terrance and their witty banter made their relationship entertaining. I loved the satisfying blend of magic, danger, and a heroine you can’t help but root for. The author skillfully writes a fast-paced narrative, balancing intense action with moments of emotional depth. The Eternal Rulers are formidable villains, steeped in mystery, keeping readers hooked as secrets unravel. The Mystic Menace is a must-read for fantasy enthusiasts. I highly recommend it!
