Shelby White was born and raised in Northern California. At a very young age she fell in love with the arts and began writing short stories for fun in her spare time anywhere she could. As time went on she found her passion in Television and Film and the art of storytelling. She was fascinated with the stories, the lives that characters lead and the way that each story could be told. She soon found a way to combine her interests in high school writing film reviews for the local newspaper. This love of writing and expression through TV, Film and eventually in college working behind the scenes in theatre led her to pursue a Bachelors of Arts in Communications with a minor in Film Studies from the University of California, Davis. Shelby currently resides in Northern California where she continues to write and pursue the creative world around her.

The Ouija Board by Shelby White is about four best friends who bought an Ouija board for a night of fun sleepover. Little did they know that their lives would be changed forever after that night of innocent fun! When Alycia, Lauren, Sacha, and Sara welcomed summer, they thought the best way to celebrate it would be with sleepovers and a healthy dose of board games. Armed with junk food and an odd Ouija board, they connect with a being in the other world, only to find out later that the being is not as innocent as it appears. This unknown being is powerful and is not afraid to use the quartet to gain what it wants. However, these four girls get some much needed help from other supernatural beings who are eager to help them in their quest to get rid of the evil spirit they encountered in their first attempt. But can they do it? Can they fight a being too powerful and too strong?
Boy, this is not your usual Ouija board story. This story by Shelby White is a goosebumps inducer. It is a chiller and a thriller that makes you want to take out an Ouija board and give it a try. I almost did. This fast paced story is super fun to read, the girls are charming, witty, and very appealing. The pace of the novel was not too fast and not too slow, things were introduced in the right manner, and helped the reader understand things and not feel left out. All in all, this novel is superb entertainment. A great paranormal fiction that made my day.
