Arica Miller wakes up in a dungeon in the Sorcerer’s Underworld, only to be rescued by a Time Sprite and taken to the site of the Sorcerer Council that passed sentence against Headmistress Lembrose, otherwise known as Vina, The Sorcerer Wife. The King’s Jewel, Volume Two in The Pendant Trilogy by Sarena and Sasha Nanua, continues the adventures of Arica, her cousins and others from the Hill Valley Academy where they must avoid the Saphires who want to steal their power. Not only do Arica, Janine and Jessica lose their own gemstones, the Jewel, the King’s Crown, is also missing and the thief appears to be one of the Sorcerer Line, a group of sorcerers and sorceresses who, along with Vina, want to destroy the mortal world. The Queen, Magestaria, and her son Adam, who Arica knows as the janitor of Hill Valley, urge Arica to track down the King’s Jewel by travelling to the Bermuda Triangle and the Hall of Lost Gemstones in the Sorcerer Palace, home of the Royals. Meeting new people is a problem because Arica and her group are never sure who they can really trust so reaching their goal presents plenty of challenges. Will they succeed or find that they have placed their trust in the wrong people?
The magical action of The Pendant Trilogy continues in The King’s Jewel by Sarena and Sasha Nanua. Unique and well-defined characters take part in an on-going adventure trying to save the mortal world from evil sorcerers and sorceresses who possess amazing powers. Trust and teamwork are big concepts as Arica, her cousins and new friend Adam, the Prince, struggle to prevent the Sorcerer Line from gaining power.
