Zoey Tirado has lived one heck of a life. Not only did she lose her parents at a young age, but the man tasked with caring for her in the wake of that loss was the absolute devil. And to make it all worse, he made Zoey believe she was to blame for their deaths, which you can imagine causes her a lot of trauma growing up. The Perfect Revenge 2: Secrets of the Dragonfly by WilD is an engaging story of intrigue, romance, and dealing with the past. There was so much going on with a lot of moving parts, but it was easy to follow. I'm a big fan of revenge in general, and following along with Zoey as she exacts revenge on those who made her life a living hell was truly a pleasure.
The Perfect Revenge 2: Secrets of the Dragonfly is a story of empowerment and watching Zoey become a better version of herself, one who was capable of taking care of herself and focusing on her ultimate goal, revenge. This was the best part of the story, watching as she shook off the demons of her past to boldly walk toward a different future. This version of her, the one that worked with Mark to save the world, was one tough cookie, and it was a joy to watch her grow. WilD is a gifted storyteller, and the journey she takes the reader on is filled with twists and turns. I enjoyed the story as well as some of the characters, and other characters, I just loved to hate.
