The Process of Living provides readers with a concise blueprint for transforming our lives into a more meaningful and holistic one. The process consists of three major components--thoughts, feelings, and actions. The successful interchange between these three components determines our quality of life and overall success. Author Bill DeBarba illustrates the vital role of the subconscious mind in receiving and sending messages to and from our brain. He states that our subconscious mind receives messages from the feelings created by our thought patterns. We then act upon those feelings. DeBarba offers practical ways to visualize and implement the thoughts/feelings/actions model daily. He calls this model 'The Process'. This guide covers techniques to overcome the limitations in our lives and achieve our dreams using this process.

The Process of Living is an informative, candid, and accessible read. Bill DeBarba uses helpful visual aids to illustrate his points in every chapter. I like how he utilizes his life experiences and the experiences of relatable people to drive his points across. These anecdotes give his book a more intimate feel. This guide is mostly philosophical. However, when readers grasp its techniques, it will help them to make beneficial changes in their lives. Likewise, these changes will produce meaningful shifts that will enhance the quality of their lives. This guide is very thought-provoking. It will facilitate deep reflection, self-awareness, and critical thinking the more you read it. Most of all, DeBarba's book will challenge readers to change their old patterns of living--especially the ones that do not bear fruit. I recommend The Process of Living to readers seeking better command over their lives and achieving their personal goals.

Told in five parts, The Process of Living by Bill DeBarba focuses on three key points. DeBarba wrote the book to assist people whose thoughts and feelings are out of sync, while he produced the second edition to increase the readability and elaborate on the process he describes. The author deeply discusses thoughts, feelings, and actions, defining them separately and outlining the way they are linked. DeBarba details communication, the subconscious, positive and negative self-talk, staying in touch with your feelings, meditation, intuition, learned behaviors, changing self-destructive behaviors, setting realistic goals, and more. He puts his plan into focus for readers by showing ways to turn home ownership dreams into reality.

Bill DeBarba shares the information you need and puts it into mindful, actionable steps. With wonderful, descriptive examples, DeBarba shows how you can have complete control of your life without changing anything externally. The author's helpful examples outline his and others' experiences, and he provides tips for making conscious decisions. It's hard to describe feelings to another person, as their response to emotions may be different, and the book made me realize I need to be more conscientious and maintain more control over my actions. There's no better time than now to move forward with positive actions, and this book will give you the wisdom you need to do so. The book will help individuals and groups, truly motivating and inspiring them to be more authentic with their actions. Readers who are ready to live with intention will enjoy The Process of Living.
