The Second Listening Book: Loaded Question & Other Stories by James Webb is a collection of over ten short stories with an element of Bible principles and scriptures as the foundation. James Webb has taken his background and experience as a Baptist minister in the mission and working in Australia and the U.K. to offer different insights to the reader of God’s word in his creation of The Second Listening Book: Loaded Question & Other Stories. The stories have a subtle creative edge to its messaging which still gets the point across about contentment, love, obedience, and questions one may have about life and the wonders of God.
I loved reading The Second Listening Book: Loaded Question & Other Stories by James Webb because of its biblical scriptural foundation. As I read through the short stories, the elements of peace, security and wisdom spoke volumes through the pages. As believers, life happens just like it does for everyone else, but the differences are in how we handle each event that occurs. Praying and holding onto a scripture makes any type of challenge much easier to muddle through. I have a few favorites, but let me tell you about one of them that I enjoyed. The story of Obedience which is loosely based upon The Parable of the Talents, Matthew 25:14-30, with a simple lesson about ... you guessed it - obedience.
