The Tribal Case by Theresa M. Janson is a story about a female forensic profiler who works for the FBI. She has taken over a case from her recently deceased mentor. The case is important to her for more than one reason. She wanted to finish the case for her mentor who could not bring it to resolution himself. The case involved a serial killer who was abducting, torturing, and murdering young boys from reservations. Having been a victim herself of a serial killer that she had been chasing, she needed to catch this killer to stop the killings and get justice for the young victims, but to also prove to herself that she could move on from her own experience and continue to do the job. Her journey is fraught with peril and pain but also with an unexpected romance.
The Tribal Case by Theresa M. Janson is a book that crime fiction and romance fans will definitely enjoy. The story is engaging and I really enjoyed the characters. The action and romance pieces in the story were well balanced and engaging. The story is very good and I would recommend reading it. I found the rapidity with which the relationship developed between Sam and Will to be a little unbelievable yet, at the same time, I was rooting for both of them to be together and for her old fling Charlie to get the shaft. The author made me care about Sam and Will and the outcome of their lives together. It would be nice to read a sequel to this story.
