William O. Nordstrom's readers can look forward to a story full of all the elements of a good thriller: love, suspense, murder, adventure, culture, historical facts, drugs, wars, kidnapping, sorrow, guilt, anxiety, sex, money, political corruption, danger, and humor. When a mother-student is distracted by research papers, school, and life, her young son vanishes. Suspecting the Mexican caregiver was the culprit working with her son's father, she sets out on a hunch to find her son. With no money, or real plan, just a mother's wrath and willpower to find her son, Jeri joins a research program with the university. She finds herself intertwined in a mess she never expected, along with her friends and colleagues.

The Turtle and The Jaguars was so intriguing and suspenseful it will leave you wanting to know more immediately, thus making it a page turner. The plot and characters relate to real life people and situations, arousing the interest of many readers. With its unpredictable plot, characters, and cultural differences, secrets, government, police, corruption, involvement and policies, it is a thoroughly exciting and enjoyable book.
