Joshua is a young man who wins his first MMA fight against a champion; Tiffany is a girl who has just been voted the sexiest woman in America. At some point, each of them meets one of the two outreach pastors at Hope Community Church, Chris and Katrina Belvu. Chris will try to teach Joshua discipline, while Katrina will learn about the tragic end of Tiffany's family and discovers she is in danger. Meanwhile, Joshua and Tiffany, who had already slept together after the fight, spend another night together. If that means nothing to Joshua, Tiffany becomes obsessed with him and thinks of him as her protector. Will the Belvus be able to take care of Joshua and Tiffany and help them accept Jesus? Find out in The Way by Lucas Gorton McIntire.
The Way is a novel that proves how redemption is possible even in the most desperate cases. Lucas Gorton McIntire explains very well the evolution of his protagonists and why they made their choices, particularly in the case of Tiffany. I liked how the author described her obsession with Joshua and her father's house and the consequences that this caused. I also appreciated that the author took the time to describe both the pasts of the two young people and the two outreach pastors because it gives you a better understanding of them all. I recommend The Way to anyone looking for a story in which Christian values are not only part of the message but are what lead the characters to solve every situation, even the most difficult.
