At the same time, a dangerous crew of mercenaries led by a ruthless scientist is hot on their heels, seeking to claim a royal prize for a shadowy mastermind. Relying on her natural gift for pattern recognition, Tianna avoids perilous traps with the help of a clever rescue cat and a boisterous bird. Tianna and the Mystery of the Beale Treasure is an engaging children’s adventure that breathes new life into the traditional treasure-hunting genre. It is incredibly satisfying to watch a child’s sharp mind consistently outwit a dangerous crew of adults. M. L. Woodward’s writing is very descriptive, making the ancient temples and mountain ridges feel authentic as the global travel itinerary unfolds. Having themes like family loyalty and saving cultural heritage really gives the non-stop action depth. Woodward guides the pacing smoothly, mixing high-danger moments with slower scenes where everyone has to sit down and decode ancient texts together. The nail-biting ending wraps up the mystery perfectly while leaving some great breadcrumbs for a sequel. It is a must-read if you enjoy clever mysteries and historical quests.
