In With Full Malice: A Deadly Vigilante Crime Novel of Twisted Justice by Brenda Hill, Maddy has been traumatized by her past for as long as she can remember. The brutal loss of her parents continued to haunt her every waking moment. Her grandmother Ella had raised her after the sudden death of her parents, and she was dedicated to Maddy to a degree that touched my heart as a mother. Dexter, a friend who is more like family, as well as being a member of the local police force, was devoted to both of them. Together, they built a life that was centered on making sure that Maddy stayed safe after her childhood innocence was ripped apart. Meanwhile, all too close to home, felons begin to suffer violent endings that seem to have no explanation. Will the violence Maddy has run from her entire life invade the safety bubble she has tried to build around herself?
With Full Malice by Brenda Hill grabbed my attention from the very first page and demanded that I stayed engaged till the very last word. I related to Ella so deeply in this story. The love and devotion of a mother for her child is a sacred relationship. I enjoyed the way the author developed the characters in this book. I loved each of them before I was even halfway through the pages, and I would like to see their story continue in future books. Mystery, drama, and the complexity of various human relationships are all showcased in this book, and I honestly couldn't put it down, but at the same time, I wanted to take my time so it wouldn’t be over. This book is one of the best I have read in a long while!
