When speaking of miracles the first thing that usually comes to mind is the miracles recorded in the Bible. That is not the case in this book. This is not about feeling good about yourself or a self help book. This is about being a blessing to other people.

In his newest book "You Were Born for This," 7 Keys to a Life of Predictable Miracles, Mr. Wilkinson discusses what can happen if an ordinary Christian went through a day asking God to perform a miracle in someone’s life. To accomplish this Christians would pray, God would place them in the path of someone that needs them.

I was reminded of the times I have felt the "little nudge" that he talks about in the book and how I tend to shrug it off. If I would act on the little nudge I would be in the place God wanted me. Most of us are afraid to succumb to that nudge, but with faith we can overcome that fear and be the person God wants us to be.

This book shows each of us that we are here for a reason, to do the work of God, not just to fill a pew on Sunday morning. Mr. Wilkinson gives some easy instructions on following the 7 keys and becoming a miracle worker. I know it made me stop and think how some of my prayers were "God do this" instead of "God show me what you want me to do." We may not produce miracles in a miraculous way, but we will make a difference in someone’s life. You Were Born For This is easy to read and well worth it.
