Marne Ventura's 12 Epic Polar Adventures takes you around the world for a cold good time with these spectacular places. Go to the coldest place on earth with an extraordinary trip to Antarctica, then travel from South America to the stunning South Georgia Island, then go to see the fastest-moving glaciers in the world with a trip to Greenland, and let’s not forget to visit the North Pole. This book will give insight into these amazing places where you’re able to spend a few months in the dark at the High Arctic or even get a lesson about the seed bank at the Svalbard Archipelago.

This book will take children on an adventure to new places and teach fascinating facts such as the Antarctic Peninsula where visitors can camp and where eighty-two research stations are located. Marne Ventura highlights places that aren’t just grand adventures but also beautiful places that are once in a lifetime sights. Found throughout are several stunning islands such as the South Georgia Island which has an intriguing history of survival and the Falkland Islands where you can see the colony of Albatross birds as well as the South Shetland Islands and Disko. Children will love learning about new places and will be encouraged to pursue studying these places when they get older. Each of these places is paired with photos and contains fun facts that include rich histories of survival and discovery, a place with over a hundred volcanoes, and old farmsteads that give you a peek into history.

Children will learn about places such as Iceland; a stunning and extraordinary place with hot springs, northern lights, glaciers, and even cooled lava. They’ll be able to imagine themselves bundling up in dogsleds and taking a trip around Ilulissat Icefjord to see an abandoned Inuit village and hearing the crack of icebergs and then popping over to see the colorful island of Disko which has black sand and red mountains. Each of these places is unique and stunning with 12 Epic Polar Adventures that are unforgettable, breathtaking, and a splendid educational resource that children will love.
