Cooking is an art that requires a lot of creativity and aesthetic ability. Decisions are made and instructions are followed. This helps children achieve discipline and maintain motivation by focusing on a productive activity. The book 5 Minute Edible Crafts: A Family Cookbook for Kids teaches children to prepare food under adult supervision and share fun moments. Each recipe provides a feature that will make it more entertaining because there is a joke, tongue twister, fun fact, riddle, or piece of trivia on every page. At the end of the book, there are activities such as coloring, drawing, mazes, and more. The categories include snacks with fruits, pretzels, sandwiches, and chocolates. Wolf Cub Chlo and Jenn Bell-Allen share these activities so that small chefs can create great works.
I thought 5 Minute Edible Crafts was a wonderful book. All the food is healthy and adding a little joke or amusing fact related to the recipe makes the experience even more enjoyable. The extra activities help children feel more at home with the book. Children will lose their fear of cooking and will love experimenting with new flavors and textures. Wolf Cub Chlo and Jenn Bell-Allen teach children to develop their organizational skills and understand that they can count on the support of adults. The recipes help refine motor skills because children can take small things in their hands and create fun figures. The book also shows a simple way to work safely in the kitchen.
