Wyshika L. Gibson’s 5 Ways to Renew Your Spirit and Bring Peace into Your Life is a delightful and exceedingly wise spiritual pep talk, designed to help the spiritually weary reclaim the sense of divine peace that comes only from a sustained positive relationship with God. The text is a mixture of personal testimony and sage advice, delivered in an easy-to-digest, conversational and eminently ‘do-able’ narrative. This little gem of a book is a heartfelt gift to the reader - a gift born of Christian love and a sincere desire to pay forward the blessings of an abundant life built from the rubble of doubt and confusion. Although much of the witness offered in the book features women as a central focus, the wisdom and beauty of the stories will resonate for readers of either gender at any stage of life.

5 Ways to Renew Your Spirit and Bring Peace into Your Life is inspirational, not only in its content, but also in the simplicity of the steps and behaviors it suggests to restore peace. Wyshika L. Gibson’s tips and tools are so simple and so practical that they speak to the heart, much in the same way that a true friend’s words will remind us always of things we already know, leading us back to our best self - the person God intends for us to be. Gibson’s pearls are given graciously and gratefully: “Change your mindset and outlook by thinking and speaking positivity into your life." (p. 16) Never is a suggestion given without an accompanying strategy or tool. “Do not make God an option. Do not turn to him only when things go wrong in your life. He doesn’t make anyone an option. God is the plan, not the backup plan.” (p. 33)

At one point in the narrative, Gibson even offers a prayer template for those who have forgotten how to invite God into their lives. This book is a beautiful little gem that would make a perfect gift or token of encouragement for anyone in need of spiritual support or renewal. Gibson’s honest invitation to “Restore peace in your life. Continue to pray and remain consistent with him” comes with the following hard-won wisdom: “Life will not be perfect and you will not have a life without problems, but God’s peace will keep your mind and heart much clearer so you can handle what comes your way." (p. 43).

5 Ways to Renew Your Spirit and Bring Peace into Your Life offers a no-nonsense, must-not-miss opportunity to reconnect with God and restore peace to your world or to encourage others to do so.
