Cheri Gillard addresses the dreaded budget.  None of us like the term but life is a lot easier if we have one.  A budget is an invaluable financial tool.  Gillard offers suggestions for making our money go farther.  She begins by addressing our pantry.  Water is healthier and cheaper than soft drinks.  Buying in bulk can save on food bills.  Plan your menus in advance and make a shopping list.

The clothing chapter has great ideas for looking great on a budget.

Never buy a new car.  Attempt to run all errands in the same trip.  Ride a bike. Clean your own house.  Bake your own cookies.  These are just a few of the wide range of ideas in this tiny book.

Most of Gillard’s ideas are common sense and you will wonder why you didn’t think of it yourself.
