The intrigue of a cheating husband and his multiple mistresses lures a busybody mystery writer right into the center of two homicide investigations in the entertaining sleuth murder mystery, A Bloody Stiletto, Cold Lasagna, And A Best Seller (An Anna Romano Mystery Series) by Cheryl Denise Bannerman. Anna Romano cannot seem to stay out of trouble. Even though she was almost blown up the last time she stuck her nose where it didn't belong, Anna just can't let other people's concerns alone. While shopping at the supermarket, Anna witnesses a husband's mistress and his wife fighting. Determined to uncover the story behind their fight, Anna attends a charity ball which the wife is hosting. Following the woman to the Ladies Room, Anna stalks her to the last stall and is horrified to discover the woman murdered. Although John, Anna's boyfriend and police detective at the scene, tells her to go home, Anna makes a detour to the mistress's apartment. As bad luck would have it, Anna wanders into the woman's bedroom and finds her shot in the head. Now that she has been the first on the scene of the two homicides and doesn't want to upset John anymore, Anna decides to lie low. However, the next morning Anna receives an anonymous email which indicates the husband may not have been the only one with a motive. Can Anna keep her curiosity in check, stay out of trouble, and leave the investigation to John and wait for him to fill her in on the details?

A Bloody Stiletto, Cold Lasagna, And A Best Seller by Cheryl Denise Bannerman is an exceptional cozy mystery where being nosy can place you in the middle of two homicides. Anna Romano is a delightful protagonist whose amusing antics endear her to you. Her intimate relationship with a police officer makes her "innocently" contrived and devious methods even more humorous. Along with the curveballs thrown into the plot, the two characters work well together, creating a spellbinding story with a splash of intrigue and a dash of spice. Although the bouncing between the characters' points of view is sometimes a little confusing, the plot is sound and the storyline is captivating and flows at an even pace. This is a sensational story that will thrill everyone who loves an entertaining amateur sleuth novel starring a feisty protagonist who always seems to find herself knee-deep in murder.
