All the important aspects of the investigation, the suspense, the preparation, and the sudden turn of events are shown vividly in these pages. Exciting and intriguing, this story boasts characters almost drawn from the real world, with elements of violence and destruction added to enhance the plot. The sharp faculties of the investigator and the total commitment of the perpetrators of violence are contrasted with one another, with the upper hand going in either direction till the climactic end. There is a quite unexpected and shocking turn of events at the climax. My one criticism is the selection of characters for this novel, like many other novels with similar plots, follows a predictable path as far as their background and ethnicity goes, affecting its novelty value.

Fillinger’s knowledgeable and perspicacious story not only lets us get a good look at how terrorists and counter terrorists work, but also identifies the deeply rooted differences between two cultures, taking care not to condemn one side or the other. Fast paced and easily readable, this book will open our eyes to the clear and present danger that our world is actually facing today.

I found this book to be a riveting, action packed story, with many unpredictable twists and turns along the way! There was a good mix of action, humor, grief, and elation with the ultimate triumph of good over evil. The characters, both good and evil, were well described and developed, giving the reader a complete picture as the story unfolded. I would highly recommend this book!
