A Dolphin Lost... A Daughter Found: Learning To Swim With Porpoise by Trisha Simmons is a sweet tale about a dolphin who learns about life and the importance of forging her own path. One day, a wise Fairy Godmother receives an unexpected blessing. On the ocean floor, Fairy Godmother finds and saves a baby calf and names her Amari. She adopts and cares for Amari as if she were her own. Now, Fairy Godmother is Amari's everything. However, Amari learns that when she turns six, it will be time for her to leave the pod and find her own way like her Fairy Godmother did. Amari isn't ready to go yet, but the Fairy Godmother assures her that it's time to change, grow, and travel and that if she ever needs her, she's just a special whistle away. Will Amari find the courage to find her way?
