A tumultuous relationship entwined with deep-seated passion ensues in A Knight's Temptation: Knight's Series, Book 3 by Catherine Kean. Aldwin Treynarde never thought that on his journey to knighthood he would encounter a blast from his past. Lady Leona Ransley was there for one reason only, but when things go awry she ends up being kidnapped by the man who almost ended her life. The question is why is she so attracted to him and why does it seem as though he feels the same?
A Knight's Temptation by Catherine Kean is a guilty pleasure type of book, with the changing dynamic between the main characters as its twist. I enjoyed Leona’s character as she embodies the fierce femme fatale archetype. She had a goal and she was determined to see it through even though there were a lot of bumps in the road. Despite unexpected events, she stuck to her principles - well, most of the time. Aldwin wasn’t my favorite male lead, mainly due to his flawed idea of chivalry but he did redeem himself in certain scenes.
The narration by James Gillies was so well done. Gillies provides the perfect tone and reading pace to match the story, which makes it easy to get lost in this audiobook. I also really like that Gillies has a good range when it comes to characters and their voices within the story. He does a great job of making sure you know who is speaking throughout the reading.
