It is the start of the MotoGP season, and thirty-two-year-old Catarina Navarro has just received the worst news: her father’s cancer is back. His condition is confirmed to be fatal. Catarina is currently working for twelve-time MotoGP champion, thirty-six-year-old Vince Vasquez, as his P.A., assistant manager, and tire technician. She cannot afford distractions, especially as Vince is competing for his thirteenth championship. Performing well on Vince’s team is also part of her strategy to achieve her dream of becoming the first female crew chief, then team manager. Catarina decides to keep the news secret from Vince. However, as they work together, sparks of love are about to fly between them. They will share not only their secrets but also their problems. Can the two lovebirds manage the pressure from the racetrack, Catarina’s family, and public speculation, and help Vince win his thirteenth championship? Find out in Racing Hearts Collide: All In by Lena Gibson.
If you are looking for a sports novel flavored with steamy romance, contemporary drama, action, thrills, and suspense, Racing Hearts Collide by Lena Gibson is a perfect pick. Gibson features a fascinating cast and wastes no time introducing readers to their high-stakes, diverse worlds. The intimate, steady narration and cinematic depictions dropped me into the scenes, from the high-octane track action to the confrontations and cozy moments. The balance between character and plot development is so good that I could not stop reading. I learned a lot about MotoGP, including its rules and calendar. As I watched Catarina juggle her family and pit lane duties, I understood her frustration as she dealt with her resentful younger sister and Vince’s team manager, who treated her condescendingly because she is a woman. I loved this page-turner. I am excited that Gibson has an installment coming up next in this amazing series.
