A Life Redesigned by Gary Hawkins is the A to Z Travel Bible that travelers have been searching for perhaps all their lives. This in-depth book covers a range of topics from how to prepare your house when leaving for a length of time, to how to create profiles as a house sitter that will engage with the owner, to fiscal matters that will help to ensure you are on your way to traveling the world with as few hiccups as possible, and many other subject areas that you might not have considered when you decided to travel. A Life Redesigned is informational to be certain, but there is a wealth of heart as well, which brings another beautiful facet to it.

Gary Hawkins’s A Life Redesigned made me look at traveling in a whole new light. I had no idea that so much could be learned and gleaned. The tone was familiar and warm, with pages and pages of information that I tucked away for myself for future reference. One of the chapters that I specifically gravitated to was “Making Money on the Road” - so many avenues for making money that I hadn’t heard of before, which was helpful. I could easily see Gary Hawkins’s A Life Redesigned being taught in a college course. I think it’s important for younger people to learn how to plan a long vacation and what to expect, and how to continue their voyage, as millennials especially are fighting against the 9 to 5 occupations that their parents were subjected to. Young people today are full of passion and are bent on living their lives to the fullest, and this book will help them realize those wishes and passions.
