Fern Michaels and three other authors of note have created "A Winter Wonderland" which is comprised of four novellas centered around the Christmas holidays in the United States. The first piece, 'A Winter Wonderland' is by Fern Michaels and tells of two people, aging actress Angelica Shepard and overworked Doctor Parker North, who meet by accident at a ski resort in Colorado where they have both gone to revitalize themselves and their careers. Holly Chamberlain's 'The Joy of Christmas' tells the romantic story of gifted artist Iris Karr who escapes to Portland, Maine, to forget her mother's December death and deathbed promise. Iris also wants to leave behind the memories of her fiance of several years ago, Ben Tresch. And who should arrive in Portland to assume a new position, but Ben? Will author Holly Chamberlain bring these lovers back together or will they go their separate ways? The third story, Leslie Meier's Florida-based 'The Christmas Thief' and Kristina McMorris's 'The Christmas Collector' will delight readers who need holiday enchantment or just a good holiday read for those few spare, precious moments.
"A Winter Wonderland" has four short novels that will entertain readers everywhere especially in a year that has served up a need for seriousness and prayers with the horrific shootings in Newtown, Connecticut. Fern Michaels and her three fellow writers have written stories whose characters and plot lines are excellent and totally believable. "A Winter Wonderland" will make a great stocking stuffer for just about any reader anywhere.
