Aching For Addison is a sleuth mystery romance by Jennifer Bishop. Detective Gabriel Logan has a way with women. Since arriving in the humdrum beach town of Flamingo Cove, he hasn't had to tackle major cases until he hears a rumor on the streets about a hit being put out on a local woman. Dr. Addison Monroe is a practicing psychologist who has sworn off dating after a string of bad relationships. When Logan offers his protection services to Addison, she initially refuses his offer. But an unexpected attack on her life forces her to be taken into protective custody. All the while, Logan and Addison feel a mutual attraction neither can deny. However, they must keep their feelings in check with a potential killer on the loose. Will Addison and Logan find a way to be together?
Jennifer Bishop weaves a tantalizing sleuth mystery tale with a healthy dose of romance. Aching For Addison is an engaging story about two unlikely people falling in love in unexpected circumstances. The plot has its share of twists and turns to keep you glued to the pages, and the narrative moves at an even pace. But it's the characters who steal the show. The two main leads, Addison and Logan, have intoxicating chemistry, and every scene between them is filled with sexual tension and intrigue. The fact that Addison and Logan have opposite personalities adds to their relationship dynamic, making the reader root for them to end up together. I enjoyed the book and will gladly recommend it to sleuth mystery lovers and readers of romance alike.
