Always Faithful by Ann Popp is a contemporary romance about two adult people in their forties who don't realize that love is what they are searching for. Addison wants to live her life, not the life of the small town that everyone thinks she should live. She runs away from it all to start on her own and do something that she wants to do. On her new adventure, she meets Ryan, a recently retired member of the Marine Corps. Being in the Marines was Ryan's life and he doesn't know what to do with himself now that he is out. Could a romance be just the thing to help take his mind off his future? Is Ryan what Addison is looking for, or is he the type of man that everyone back in town expects her to end up with? They both might have a chance at true love if they can get their egos and pride out of the way.
This is a really sweet story that is exactly what readers expect from a romance. A woman in need of a fresh start and a hunky man who doesn't know what to do now that his life has started over. Together the characters bring the story to life on the pages; hot and steamy in parts, romantic and sentimental in others. Readers will appreciate the complexity of the emotions in this story and how both characters' points of view are examined and explained in thorough detail.
