Beneath Claire`s House by Corey J. Popp is a young adult horror that takes you into Claire's scary, ghost filled world. At the start we are introduced to Claire, who is in the juvenile ward at Saint Thomas Psychiatric Hospital. Claire has been diagnosed as schizophrenic as she is seeing ghosts. This began happening one night when Claire's dad was at work. When Claire finally gets to return home, things take an even scarier turn. We meet amazing and fun characters such as Emma (Claire's best friend), Spencer and Cooper (ghost hunters), and Father Delevan, who at the start seems to be the only person who believes Claire, as well as some frightening ghosts.

You will enter a world where you do not know what's real, who you can trust, and if anyone is safe. There are so many twists and turns and the ending will leave you so shocked you won't know what to think. A book full of fear, betrayal, friendship and loyalty. I read this when it was cold, dark, and raining outside, and it kept me awake till the early hours of the morning because I had to finish it. I spent hours in work the next day thinking about it and how I could have missed the clues. I fell in love with Claire and I felt sorry for her that not even her father believed her. Beneath Claire's house is a book not to miss.
