Upon her return to Willow’s Bluff, strange things start happening, things that Reegan cannot begin to explain. With more and more strange events coming to pass and emotions that are beginning to run high, will Reegan be able to navigate it all? Solve the mysteries before her and discover the truth hidden from her? Will she be able to find love along the way? Or will the dark secret of Willow’s Bluff get to her before she can “see what was unseen, learn what was unknown, right what was wronged, or suffer the same.”
W.L. Brooks did an amazing job with this story. Though there could have been more focus on the romance side to be truly classified as a romance novel, the story was incredible and left nothing to be desired, even though I wish it wasn’t over. It was riveting and mind grabbing; I simply could not put it down. The word choices were well made and the narrative well written, the characters realistic and the plot had the perfect amount of twists and turns to keep the reader's attention constant and rapt. It has a very lovely romance to it while at the same time not losing sight of the story line to indulge in carnal desires, which unfortunately happens to many romances. Between Death and Destiny was amazing and I really enjoyed reading it. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone looking for a great book! I look forward to reading more of this author's work in the future!
