Author Biography

In my teen years, Harlequin romance novels gave me hope and taught me to believe in happy endings. Now I'm writing novels that provide a happily-ever-after escape; and let's face it, in today's political climate, we need a regular escape more than ever. So I've done away with the distracting sub-plots and am publishing stories that get straight to the spark, sizzle, and chase. Thanks for joining me.

Between Friends by Elsa Miles captures the moment when Jordan finally sees Tessa for the woman she is. Though they fought more like brother and sister, this initial spark of interest grew into a fully-fledged wildfire that threatened everything they built their friendship upon. Regretting the attraction he has for her generates mixed feelings. Jordan knows he can’t treat his friend as he has his previous girlfriends, Tessa deserves more than that, but he was unsure if he could justify the primitive feelings he has for her. Tessa wants to explore this new-found desire without counting the cost. Both miss their carefree friendship as emotions and passion run high. Will they burn their bridges as they battle the magnetic pull, or wreck a friendship that is woven between two families?

Elsa Miles takes Between Friends (Old School Romance Book 1) and explores the romance between a man and a woman who have been friends since they were kids. Without subplots, this novel focuses solely on Tessa and Jordan and the drama that occurs when Jordan realizes his friend has grown up into a beautiful woman. Elsa Miles creates an intensity that draws the reader into the lives of her characters as they struggle to ignore the attraction that is suddenly too much to ignore. With precision, Elsa Miles applies all the elements of a good romance; an inspiring plot, appealing characters with an awakened attraction, and turmoil as the characters fight their own feelings then fight for the affection of each other. The ending may have been predictable, but the journey there was fabulous.
