Beyond Broken Glass is a work of romantic time travel adventure fiction penned by author Christine Church, and forms the third book in the Anachronistic Dimensions series. Central couple Dane and Meirah find everything they’ve worked for is threatened when Kaeplan returns to the past to prevent their love from developing and change the course of the future. They return through the timeline to stop the deed taking place, but find themselves trapped in the Mikaire of the past as the future begins to shift all around them. They must work together to figure out how to put things right before they are torn apart for good.

Mixing different dimensions with time travel, heroes, villains, magic and mayhem, author Christine Church puts a lot of excitement into her work for her readers to sink their teeth into. Dane and Meirah have had to work hard for their love already, and as the threat of total reversal looms, we see their passions rise and their bond strengthen even more. Fans of romance novels will enjoy the intensity of their relationship, and the fantasy twists of the plot keep you guessing all the way along as to what will happen next. Equally driven in its plot moments as its character arcs, this well-crafted novel reaches cinematic climaxes of action, magic, and dimension-warping thrills, particularly as it arrives at its startling conclusion. Overall, Beyond Broken Glass makes an excellent addition to an already popular series, adding new excitement and danger to a conceptually powerful world.

Any reader with a fondness for time travel will, undoubtedly, love Beyond Broken Glass, the third book in the Anachronistic Dimensions by Christine Church, a pulsating, mind-blowing novel with twists that are exciting and unexpected. In the very opening page, the author gives an insight into how the story is built: “The Mortal (or Human) Dimension reigns within the epicenter of all Dimensions. Every once in a while, a chaotic Dimension might cause a ripple that is felt within the Mortal Dimension in the form of an earthquake, strange storm, or a tsunami; however, humans remain blissfully unaware that these other places exist.” Kaeplan has to travel to the past on a mission to stop the man who destroyed his life and his home. If Dane and Meirah don’t stop him, he will alter the future and destroy their chances of being together forever. But they get trapped in Mikaire’s past. If Dane and Meirah can’t stop Kaeplan, then the past will be altered and their future destroyed.

Beyond Broken Glass is an engrossing read, a story that is filled with numerous dilemmas. The author creates powerful characters, a strong crisis, and thrusts them in a world they have control over, but one with a lot of sinister competition and strong powers poised against each other. The author handles the theme of time in a unique, original way, challenging the traditional concept of time and featuring characters who can manipulate time, hence the events that happen in life. The plot is cleverly done, fast-paced, and filled with exciting adventures. Christine Church has the gift for plot, setting, and character, and she keeps readers focused on the characters and caring about their future, thanks to the unique skill with which she handles the emotional elements of the story.

In Beyond Broken Glass by Christine Church, as Kaeplan reaches the Portal, he sees Meirah step out and touch the hand of Sir Kori. He realizes that once more he has failed in his attempt to prevent the union that will ultimately destroy his life. His plan is to travel back in time and thwart the meeting between the two and make Meirah his queen. To do this, he needs the assistance of Uchilles, the ruler of the Vertemps Dimension. Meirah and Dane have little time to stop Kaeplan executing his plan to change the course of history and become the most mighty ruler of two dimensions. As Meirah and Dane find themselves trapped in the past, with no means of escape, Kaeplan becomes more powerful. They must find a way home or they risk losing one another for eternity.

Beyond Broken Glass by Christine Church is a well-executed tale of true love, jealousy, and revenge. An inventive plot filled with ingenious and original characters. The storyline kept me on the edge of my seat as Dane and Meirah get trapped in the past and try to escape. I thought Kaeplan was a very cleverly created villain; he was so cunning and steadfast in his plan but I feel he was deeply misunderstood. Was he really evil or just someone who had loved a woman since childhood but had no chance in his love being returned. The character of Meirah was such a capable and dynamic female protagonist. I loved her strength. The way the main plot was woven so effortlessly with the subplots was remarkable. The tension was built really well, taking the reader on a glorious and exhilarating journey. This book certainly gripped my imagination and I would love to read more from this author.
