Bodies in the Bayou by Cheryl Campbell is one of the most thrilling but spine-tingling stories I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. The dedication at the front is hard-hitting, and it sets the scene for what is to come. A warning should be given here that this book could be triggering for some readers, given that it covers child murder. This is an action-packed book that grabs your attention from the first page, and it will take you on a journey you’ll never forget. It combines the real world with the paranormal in a way that makes total sense, and delves deep into the dark parts of the human psyche, sending shivers down your spine in places. The characters feel incredibly real, and their development helps you understand them. If chilling stories are for you, you will love this compelling story that has you shocked and captivated all the way through.
