Jilted at the altar is almost too nice a phrase to describe what happened to Andrea Lindholm two years ago. Every bride's worst nightmare of ending up at the altar alone has forever taken the hopeless romantic that Andrea WAS and hardened her into the jaded skeptic about love that she is today. So when she gets the opportunity to get some quick cash in order to get out of debt, and all she has to do in return is to fake-marry a handsome rich playboy, she jumps at the chance. Acting as a proxy, all she has to do is play the blushing bride and take a two-week vacation with a hottie and she will be laughing all the way to the bank. However, as Andrea starts to get to know Blake, she's having a hard time keeping fact and fiction separate, and she's having flashbacks to the panic at the altar a few years ago. Romance, laughter, and love collide in this fun and sweet novel from Alane Hudson.

I am a big fan of the "accidentally lovers" trope in romantic fiction. It's almost as good as the "friends to lovers" trope and this book had them both! Body Double is a funny comedy of errors of a sort, with lots of sweet, funny, and touching moments along the way. I really felt for Andrea. Her depiction of being jilted at the alter is enough to have me almost going into hysterics when I think of how that would feel at my upcoming wedding. Her guard is up when she meets Blake, but they have too much chemistry to resist each other and the sparks and heat really fly! Body Double is a fun and romantic read for anyone who loves the genre!
