Author Biography

Bonnie Engstrom writes Stories to make you laugh a little, love a lot and believe. Her publisher coined the phrase Where Happily Ever After Finds You for Bonnie’s books.
From the time she was a reporter on her school newspaper at fourteen, then later editor of her high school newspaper, to when her children were grown, she had dreamed only of being a journalist. Because she was very involved in education, that dream partially came true by her writing a weekly column for a California newspaper as a five time PTA president and founder of a parent cooperative preschool. Then she became an empty nester and started reading Christian romance novels. She was hooked.
She believed she had stories to tell, and she believed if God led her to write for Him, He would lead her to the right situation. He did!

Bonnie Engstrom and her psychologist husband, Dave, live in Arizona near four of their six grandchildren. The other two live in Costa Rica where they surf. But, they share their Arizona home with Lola and Sam, their two rescued mutts in charge of the household.

She is a long time member of American Christian Fiction Writers and Romance Writers of America, as well as Christian Writers of the West, the Arizona local chapter of ACFW. She also monitors two online prayer chains, one for authors and another whose members are mostly grandmothers. She believes prayer changes things.

“You make the most unique salads. Heavens, Betsy, you should go into the business.” And that’s how it all started. Elizabeth Wysinotski, better known as Elisabeth Whatzit, is having a bad day. The tomato is mushy and she is out of extra virgin olive oil. The telephone is ringing non-stop and she is fast approaching the extent of her deadline to successfully deliver some delectable homemade concoctions to her client/friend’s house on time for another soiree. This should be a simple execution. Deliver, in, out.

But those best laid plans come to an abrupt halt when Betsy comes face-to-face with the most gorgeous set of blue eyes she has ever encountered. Mr. Crayon Blue Eyes looks more delicious than anything personal chef Betsy could ever throw together. When they meet again, days later at another event, Betsy’s suspicions ignite. After two marriages and one child, she isn’t ready to take the plunge again. But what if this is God pushing her in an unexpected direction? All the signs seem to be steering her toward this strange direction.
