Caden and The Awesome World Take Two (The Missing Snow Gnomes) by Naomi Melton is the second book in the Awesome World series. It is Christmastime and Caden has a problem. There is no snow on the ground! Disappointed in the still-green grass, Caden decides it's time to visit Awesome World. A place where he can have adventures and, most importantly, enjoy snow for Christmas. Awesome World is the perfect place to go for a snowy Christmas. Only, when Caden arrives, something is wrong. Very wrong. There is no snow!
He is greeted by Nibble-Nabble, a little gopher who is in quite a state. Caden learns that the nefarious Desert Snakes have kidnapped the Snow Gnomes. Nibble-Nabble then warns Caden that if he doesn't rescue the Snow Gnomes in time, there will never be snow in Awesome World again. He has very little time and a long way to go. Can he get to the other side of the Snow Mountains before it's too late? Caden is determined to complete his mission and save the Snow Gnomes, but will he succeed? Or will the mission prove to be too dangerous?
Caden and The Awesome World by Naomi Melton is a cute children's adventure book. Caden, Prince of Awesome World, must complete tasks as he and a friend travel through various obstacles to help save the Snow Gnomes, Awesome World, and ultimately Christmas. I would recommend this book to children ages 5-7. I believe that boys particularly would enjoy this story as it has villainous snakes. I look forward to reading more of Caden's adventures!
